Fabulous antique brass repoussè mirror.
English; Circa 1880.
Beautifully hand crafted repoussè brass frame depicting scallop shells and flora.
Original mirror plate is bevelled and shows just the right amount of silvering (or foxing).
Original hooks suggest horizontal hanging but could easily be readjusted to hang vertically.
Approx Max Dims: H: 410mm, W: 520mm, D: 20mm
In excellent condition. No signs of damage or repair. Slight signs of Silvering or foxing to the original mercury mirror plate but this just adds to the aesthetic of this outstanding mirror.
This is an original antique and may well show signs of use and wear commensurate with age.
