Fascinating Antique Suhr's Accordeon No.47462. Circa. 1895.

£179.00Price

A very unusual find this.

A Suhr's Accordeon, Austrian Hungarian .Circa. 1895.

Originally referred to as a 'hand harmonica'.

It plays, in as much as it makes a sound (see video), whether the metal keys work is unknown.

The accordion has a soft, gentle sound.

It is though a really intriguing and alluring decorative piece as it stands or a possible restoration project.

Sourced personally in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France.

Approx. max. dims, closed: H: 340mm, L: 320mm W: 175mm

In good antique condition. Appearance is a bit scruffy, a few marks etc and discolouration to the wood and the keys. Everything though seems to be there; no obvious damage or repair. No idea if the metal keys etc work, so please assume they don't. The strap handle to one end has come away partially.

This is an original antique and may well show signs of use and wear commensurate with age.

Please do study the photos and video as these form part of the description.
