Incredible Victorian Reverse Painted and Etched Mirror. Circa 1880.

A beautifully painted floral scene encompassing reds, pinks and creams in green foliage, displayed in an etched vase surrounded by butterflies. The detailing to both the display and the etched glass has to be seen to be belived.
Housed in its original decorative wooden frame wooden frame, ready to hang or free stand.
A real attention grabbing piece.
Approx. max. dims: Frame: 880mm x 880mm x 40mm, Mirror: 570mm x 570mm.
In excellent antique condition. Frame is structurally sound. Detailing to the floral decoration is in excellent condition, bright vivid colours. Very slight silvering in a few spots to the mirror plate but this just adds character and charm to this magnificent piece. The rear of the mirror has been replaced, as it was very worn and not strong enough to support the mirror.
This is an original antique and may well show signs of use and wear commensurate with age.
