Stunning mid to late 18th Century antique shield-back hall chair.
Mahogany with hand painted armioral.
Fabulous proportions and beautifully crafted.
The most incredible warm patina obtained by way of  time and use.
A real conversation piece.
Approx Max Dims:  H: 965mm, W: 490mm, D: 520mm, SH: 410mm
In excellent condition. Structurally solid. A couple of small repairs or reinforcement to the rear of one of the shield supports as shown and the underside of the chair. A few minor bumps, marks and slight splits in the wood as one might expect of a chair over 250 years old. Nothing though that detracts from the sheer elegance and beauty of this magnificent piece.
This is a genuine antique and as such may well show signs of use and wear commensurate with age.
