Unusual Antique French Silver Plated Decorative Copper Bowl. Mid 1800's.
Incredible old silver plated copper bowl.
Circa. early to mid 1800's.
Copper body, copper underside. Silver plated to the top face which has worn over time and with use to reveal the most stunning patina.
The contrast both in colour and texture between the underside and the top is quite something.
Decorative embossed relief to the rim along with a hook for hanging.
Shown in the pics as a fruit bowl but also make an impressive jardinière or planter.
Totally functional this makes just the most fabulous unique centrepiece.
Sourced personally in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France.

In excellent antique condition. A few bumps and knocks to the copper as one might expect and some very light wear to the silver plate. All of this just adds to wonderful patina of this stunning piece.
This is an original antique and may well show signs of use and wear commensurate with age.
